Guard Up! Family Swordsmanship is located in Burlington, Massachusetts
at 141 Middlesex Turnpike (next to the Burlington Mall) and is the
largest swordsmanship school in the We offer sword classes and events for ages 4 and up... for children, teens and adults! Our priorities are your individual training goals. Our environment is renown for being creative, interactive, fun and welcoming to all skill levels... from complete beginners to advanced students. Our youth programs specialize in getting bright kids "unplugged" from the computer games and television and getting them physically, mentally and socially active in a setting that appreciates their uniqueness. Where else can you FIGHT MONSTERS and EARN TREASURE while burning calories with your friends? Guard Up! is more than a place to learn how to swordfight. But we shouldn't understate our experience in the art of swordsmanship. We are a United States Fencing Association (USFA) member school. Our instructors work closely with experts in Historical Weaponry to translate and extrapolate techniques from ancient texts for Historical Weapons. And our facility hosts training seminars and workshops with some of the best known experts in the field of swordsmanship. Our coaching methods have been developed to make our sports and activities a positive life experience for all ages. We support adult students, teen students and youth students as well as their parents in our family-positive environment. As well, our staff is constantly researching and developing curriculum for our sword and fencing courses to keep them fresh and exciting. Happy Anniversary: To celebrate Guard Up’s 10th Anniversary we are going to hold a grand melee! Brush up on your Guard Up knowledge, it will give you an edge in battle. It doesn’t matter if you are a new fighter or a veteran, everyone will have a blast sword fighting all night long. Many years have passed and many memories made. Come on by and celebrate the future of many more sword battles to come.
Buddy Night

Battle for Independence: The American colonies are rebelling against the British empire. The colonies have had enough with British rule and have started an uprising in Boston Harbor. The Tea Act that the British imposed on the colonies was the last straw. The colonists will stage a bold protest by trying to steal British tea and dumping them into the harbor. Will the colonists be able to break free and become independent or will the British be able to subdue the rebel colonists?
Adventure Night
(Saturday, July 17th 6:30-8:30pm) At Door: $25/members and

The Incredible Medicine Show: Our Heroes find themselves swept up in a grand carnival when you return to the mainland. At the heart of the festivities is a troupe of Mummers whose antics have everyone charmed, and a Master Alchemist whose elixirs perform wondrous feats. But people have started disappearing, and the closely-guarded caravan seems to emit strange noises and odors at odd hours of the night. A web of illusions has been cast, and it's beginning to tighten more and more around our heroes. Will you be able to extract the truth? Or will a lingering evil wash over the land? Come join us and help set things right!
