Guard Up! Winter Break Fencing and Swordsmanship Adventures
All Adventures involve fencing with proper safety equipment and physically interactive, light contact sparring with foam weapons that have been tested to be extremely safe. All bouting and sparring is done under the supervision of qualified staff members. The session runs from 9am to 3pm Mon-Fri, so be sure to pack a lunch and a snack (doors open at 8:30am for parents who need to get to work early). A limited number of single day spots are available. While in our spacious facility, your children will spend the day physically and mentally challenged while opening their imagination to the experience of being a warrior of History (or Myth-ory)!
Learn how to use your sword to defend yourself! The morning starts with some basic skill building in the Olympic sport of Foil Fencing. If you are a beginner to fencing, your coach will take you through the basics and get you fencing an opponent in the first day. If you are experienced, your coach will work with you to refine your techniques and improve your bout results.
The afternoon involves training in our special Foam Long Swords...
And then begins the games of myth and adventure. Roleplay a hero (or a monster), be a warrior princess, or the villain of the lands... But none may succeed against the terrible hordes without using their lessons in teamwork, creative problem solving and communication skills.
